The Masjid Mania

The military attack by Pakistan on its indigenous Lal Masjid has taken a lot of stick from the chauvanic Islamic pundits. But the audacious act by President Musharraf, whether or not goaded from US or China should be commended upon. The president has taken a first ever courageous step to thwart the malign intentions of extremists residing within the country and using creed and religion as a major agenda to fight against humanitarian causes. But the major setback came when the Al-Qaida protagonist al-Zhawari launched an verbal attack against the president and his forces describing their effort as atrocious and un-Islamic. He openly confessed that this brutal deed can only be repented by Musharraf's blood. Although such vacuous threats would have little or no effect on the President and his forces, but the country can in now way remain ignorant from the valiant efforts and courage displayed by the extremist group. Moreover, with support from major superpowers like USA and UK it would...

NRN As President Would be a shame. The statement itself is Shameful!

I completely disapprove to the malign comments fired upon NRN as we fondly call him. He has been the torch bearer for the Indian software industry. The growth and progress that we relish today is through a huge contribution from this magnanimous gentleman. The sheds as he calls the government schools today are indeed a bitter truth prevalent in the Indian society. He himself might have passed out from a government school but that does not mean that he should relish his days of yore. He himself has experienced numerous difficulties in life. The comments made by him just reflect the shoddy education system for the pauper and altogether his deep concern. His unflagging attitude gives him the position where he is today. Quite few of you allover the country know the charities sponsored by NRN and Infosys. His unostentatious magnanimity speaks loudly for himself. All human beings are fallible. One innocuous comment cannot elude the love and respect that we all Infoscions have for NRN. Hereto...

Banglore burns, yet Again!

What are Karnataka and Tamil Nadu quarreling about? That’s one question common amongst the adolescents in the country. Do they have a border dispute, just like Kashmir and Pakistan? The answer to these questions is ‘Water’. No rewards for guessing what expression they’ll have on their faces when they know the reality. They are still naïve and do not understand the political intricacies attached to such incidents. Every individual would be having his own opinion about the incident. And they might have let their emotions errupt. Girish is one amongst them. But no guesses why he has been made a scapegoat of the Cauvery verdict. It’s just because he is a well known figure and the statement made by him is not in sync with the fellow Kannadigas. The fact is that Kannadigas are highly sentimental sect of the society. They have their own way of expression emotion – whether grief, sorrow, excitement or anger. Whether it’s related to sudden death of an eponymous film star, kidnapping of a region...

The Mod[Y/I] Factor.

It would be incommensurate to put together a few words of solace for the loss occurred to the Mody’s. The heart and soul is outraged on imagining how the Mody’s would have been carrying this indelible Godhra incident alongside them for the past five years. They have spent these five incessant years in search of their teenaged son Azhar. Any form of social amelioration or establishments of Foundations can be fruitful for Gujarat. Or infact, it can prove more beneficial for Narendrabhai’s political stranglehold in Gujarat. But will these sops be able to bring a smile back on the Mody’s? Will it be able to erase the indelible imprints left onto the Mody’s? But the Gujarat government would be nonchalant of these facts until the next elections arrive. I watched the interview with the Mody’s on NDTV alongside the Parzania cast. It was a nostalgic moment for the entire nation to resurrect the horrific memories of 2002. But to keep the Mody’s alive by the fact that their son will be back somed...

Racism or Entertainment?

The expressions by the Indian beauties at pageants, appalled by the joy of victory have been passé. Shilpa Shetty just tried to imitate a similar act, yet in a different fashion. All the melodrama about the racism prevalent in the English society is just another media gimmick to attract world recognition. She was victorious using her stereotype emotions to a good extent and grabbing into her kitty a huge cash prize along with lots of accolades from around the world. Indians have being accustomed to such dramatic gestures ever since their boyhood days. The sops and the film industry have provided an essence of all types of emotions; austere to astute, one could ever imagine. I would like to describe the recent hue-and cry as a cheap publicity stunt to attain global recognition. Racism in India has been existing since ages. Rather, it has been a customary constituent ever since the early Aryan Civilization. Its still prominent in the existing society. The riots in Gujarat a few years bac...

India's Silicon Valley Bandh.

Appaled by the header. Equivocal, but thats what our lives have turned into. The opinion of one's life has different meanings for oneself and the leaders. The caption does not denote that India's silicon valley has ceased to exist. It just reveals that a statewide bandh has been imposed over it. Taking off the sack at 12 noon would have never been on the agenda of a Software Engineer. A long weekend to say the least. Havent felt so restless in life before. Cant go out to buy a carton of milk or get myself cup of tea. There is no newspaper at the doorstep. The TV channels are off the air. Just get a feeling, the world might have ended. Whats the real fuss all about? Is it only because that the judiciary granted access to a neighbouring landmass for a little of the natural resource indigenous to our state? It might be simple to put it across in words, but the outcome is really devastating. The zest to do something productive in life has been stymied. Get a feeling of being fetter...
