Quarter to a century!

19th of July, 2008. This day shall always be remembered for good reasons in many ways. Quantitatively - I’ve spent a quarter of a century on this planet jostling with the other species and its silver jubilee time, and psychologically – the Almighty has always been graceful and life has showered a multitude of good fortunes and blossomed moments to cherish forever. It’s been wonderful to receive greetings and good wishes from family, friends and relatives from all over. Another 17 days and I shall move to the US to pursue higher education. This day brings in tremendous satisfaction to receive so much warmth even from distant friends – whom I once feared I might loose touch with, shall boost the spirits when I’m away for long. Calls from everybody who mattered most and some bonus greetings as well. Kudos to life and friendship! Alongside, I wish to spend most of my time home with my family. I’m getting this opportunity after 2005 so trying to make most of it. Ask me my plans for tonight ...

30 days shall take me far from here

In another 30 days from this moment, I would have left my home, my birthplace, my country and most importantly my family. I might be wondering on the streets, possibly dallying in the exotic stores or probably slogging in the kitchen to cook a not-so-delectable breakfast; whatever it might be, nostalgia would have occupied most of me – but certainly shall not be schmaltz. Few days and living amidst a hectic schedule would ease things a little. Although I’m not very excited at this moment to move in with Uncle Sam as I had had been a decade ago, but I can’t miss this opportunity to pursue my goals studying at a revering university. Initially I had 4 Sundays in July to finish accumulating my stuff. Now I’ve decided to not work on Saturdays and concentrate more on myself. As per calculations I can work with half of my efficiency and still manage. On the contrary, two of the precious days have already passed by and talk about efficiency – that has gone to the dogs.
